Seth K. Bechis, MS
Seth grew up in Concord, Mass. and attended Harvard University, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in chemistry and chemical biology. He took two years during medical school to complete a Masters of Science degree in biomedical science, studying cancer biology, and is now in his third year of medical school at the University of California, San Francisco. Seth wants to become a practicing clinician-scientist in cardiology or potentially a surgical subspecialty. He also has interests in medical education and biotechnology development and hopes to combine these in his future practice. When not in school, Seth spends his time outdoors skiing, hiking, golfing, and traveling to faraway places.

Kristen Vierregger, MD
Kristen is a first-year resident in pathology at the University of California, Irvine. She graduated medical school from the University of Pennsylvania and started working for First Aid as an author during her second year of medical school. She became an editor for USMLERx Step 2 CK the following year and has now enjoyed the position of senior editor for the project. If she wasn’t a doctor, she would be a professional poker player.

Flora Waples-Trefil, MD
Flora is a resident in the University of Chicago emergency medicine program. She began working on First Aid and USMLERx projects while she was a second-year medical student at Weill Medical College of Cornell University. Over the past few years she has had the opportunity to be a part of several different projects for USMLERx Steps 1, 2, and 3 as an author, editor, and senior editor. During the generous amount of free time that emergency medicine residents enjoy, Flora runs a small construction/rehab business for distressed real estate, exposes herself to unnecessary danger by rock climbing and alpine mountaineering, works on the family ranch in Montana, and generally attempts to live up to the ER physician ideal of being a shiftless dilettante.
