1. What are the system requirements for USMLERx?
|
|
This site is optimized for computer systems with a minimum of Windows XP/ME or Mac OS 10.3, 256 MB RAM, Internet Explorer 6.0 or Firefox 1.0 or Safari 1.0, Macromedia Flash 7, a monitor with a minimum resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels, and a broadband Internet connection. Older computer systems may see slower performance. We currently do not support other computers, operating systems, and browsers such as Linux and Opera. 2. How closely does the USMLERx test interface resemble what I'll see on test day?
|

USMLERx is a faithful simulation of the NBME's FRED interface. We have added buttons like "Pause" and "Suspend" as additional functionality for test preparation. These buttons will not be seen on the actual test.

3. What happens when my subscription runs out?
|
|
If you need more time on your USMLERx subscription, click the links "Need more time?" or "Subscribe" on the home page after logging in. You will be presented with option to renew a subscription for 15 days, 1 month or 3 months. Please note that you cannot extend a subscription after it has expired.

4. I think there's a mistake in the question or explanation. How do I report it?
|
|
We're not perfect, but we will try hard to fix mistakes that are brought to our attention. Please click "Contact" at the top of the page and fill out the form. Be sure to include the question's ID number, which is a 4-digit number in the upper-left hand corner of the interface. Customers who submit a suggestion that substantially improves the content of a question, or substantially corrects an incorrect or ambiguous point, will with the approval of our revision team earn a $10 gift certificate to Amazon.com. Only the first person to submit such material will be eligible for the gift certificate.

5. I have a technical issue and I don't see the answer here. What do I do?
|

Please click "Contact" at the top of the page and fill out the form. Please include your user name, telephone number, and information about your computer system as well as the specific issue. If you do not include information about the operating system, RAM, browser version, Flash version and Internet connection, we may not be able to resolve your issue. We will do our best to reply within 24 hours.
