Let’s say you’re using the Step 1 Qmax and you don’t pass the Step 1 exam. If your subscription was current within 7 days of your test date, if you submit a copy of your failing score and your NBME scheduling permit for that test, and if you provide a copy of the scheduling permit for your re-take exam, then you can extend your Step 1 Qmax subscription for the same length of time as the original subscription.
