| Editor | Jeffrey Hofmann Jeff is from Rhode Island and graduated from Brown University in 2008 with a Bachelor of Science degree in computational biology. He is currently in his third year of an MD/PhD program at Brown, and is studying the molecular biology of aging for his PhD thesis. In his spare time, Jeff enjoys cycling, rowing, and playing the guitar. | |

Peter is an MD/PhD candidate at Yale. He received his undergraduate education from the University of Oxford, Hertford College, and the University of Illinois, where he was a four-year Edmund J. James Scholar. Peter is a published scientist and has been a contributing author to First Aid for the USMLE Step 1 and First Aid for the Basic Sciences. He has served as editor-in-chief of the Yale Journal of Biology and Medicine, an open-access, peer-reviewed, graduate student–run publication founded in 1928. His writing has appeared in the Yale Journal of Biology and Medicine, Connecticut Medicine, the Legible Script, and the independent student newspapers of Yale College and the University of Illinois. Peter plans to pursue an academic career following combined training in pediatrics and child psychiatry. | ||
Clayton is from Indiana and graduated from Indiana University in 2005 with a Bachelor of Science degree in physics. Before starting medical school, he spent two years with the Peace Corps teaching physics and math to secondary school students in Tanzania. Clayton is currently a third-year student at Yale School of Medicine. | ||
Lauren de Leon, MD Lauren is a recent graduate of the Alpert Medical School of Brown University. She is finishing her internship year in internal medicine and loving it. Mary Ottinger, MD Mary graduated from Brown University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in human biology in 2006. She attended the Alpert Medical School of Brown University, and is currently pursuing residency in general surgery at Rhode Island Hospital. Babita Panigrahi Babita is from Virginia Beach and graduated from the University of Virginia with Bachelor of Science degrees in biochemistry and mathematics in 2008.
